Maryla Laurent – Secretary
Born in Hauts-de-France (1953), professor in charge of Polish Studies at the University of Lille until 2019, Maryla Laurent is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Arts. Alongside her university work on literature and its translation into French, for her pleasure she translates Polish essayists, novelists, philosophers and poets, including some forty titles, the novel by Olga Tokarczuk, Les Livres de Jakób ou Le Grand Voyage (Noir sur Blanc, 2018) which received the Laure Bataillon prize for the best translated work of fiction in 2018.
